City Park, NOLA; 0ct. 30 - Nov. 1, 2009: Celebrating their 3rd year as part of the landscape of New Orleans' most dynamic multi-stage, genre-spanning music festival, The New Orleans Bingo! Show is proud to announce the return of The Bingo! Parlour to the 2009 Voodoo Experience. In keeping with their ongoing mission to showcase "the other side" of the New Orleans music scene, the production arm of The New Orleans Bingo! Show (as helmed by Creative Director/Producer Ron Rona) will once again curate and produce three days of mind-bending musical mayhem underneath their Big-top By The Bayou. Join us as we show the world what happens when the rich musical heritage of the Crescent City collides with a vibrant rock'n'roll underground as represented by the likes of local favorites Quintron and Miss Pussycat, Rotary Downs, Zydepunks, The New Orleans Bingo! Show and many, many more!
Boasting a lineup that reads like a festival unto itself, the 2009 New Orleans Bingo! Parlour will feature the support of such like-minded national acts as art-pop performance group Fischerspooner, Southern Louisiana's swamp metal maestros Down, punk rock legend Jello Biafra and his Guantanamo School of Medicine, cowpunk grunge godfathers Meat Puppets, and the perennially swinging Squirrel Nut Zippers. Also notable in this year's lineup will be the much-anticipated reunion of the Morning 40 Federation, together again for one performance in a very special closing slot on Halloween night.
